    Title 18 of the United States Code - federal crimes and criminal procedure.

    1. 18. USC § 1114. Protection of officers and employees of the United States

      1. A person who kills or attempts to kill any Federal officer or employee of the United States while such officer or employee is engaged in or on account of the performance of official duties, or any person assisting such an officer or employee in the performance of such duties or on account of that assistance.
    2. 18. USC § 1464. Broadcasting obscene language

      1. A person who utters any obscene, indecent, or profane language by means of radio communication; or
      2. A person who utters any obscene, indecent, or profane content by means of public (over-the-air) television or news broadcast.
    3. 18. USC § 1382. Trespassing military, naval or national security property

      1. A person who goes upon any military, naval, or federal law enforcement, post, fort, arsenal, yard, station, or installation, for any purpose prohibited by law or lawful regulation; or
      2. Whoever reenters or is found within any such reservation, post, fort, arsenal, yard, station, or installation, after having been removed therefrom or ordered not to reenter by any officer or person in command or charge thereof.
    4. 18. USC § 1516. Obstruction of Federal audit

      1. A person who endeavors to influence, obstruct, or impede a Federal auditor or investigator in the performance of official duties relating to a person, entity, or program.
    5. 18. USC § 1585. Seizure, detention, transportation or sale of slaves

      1. A person who intends to make another person person a slave, or decoys, or forcibly brings, carries, receives, confines, detains or transports any person as a slave or offers or attempts to sell any such person as a slave.
    6. 18. USC § 1792. Prison mutiny or riot

      1. A person who instigates, connives, willfully attempts to cause, assists, or conspires to cause any mutiny or riot, at any penal, detention, or correctional facility.
    7. 18. USC § 1905. Disclosure of confidential information

      1. A person being a government employee or public official who publishes, divulges, discloses, or makes known in any manner or to any extent not authorized by law any confidential information coming to them in the course of their employment or official duties.
    8. 18. USC § 1955. Illegal gambling

      1. A person who conducts, finances, manages, supervises, directs, or owns all or part of an illegal gambling business; or
      2. A person who profits in excess of $2,500 in any single day from any illegal gambling activity.
    9. 18. USC § 1956. Money laundering

      1. A person who, knowing that the property involved in a financial transaction represents the proceeds of some form of unlawful activity, conducts or attempts to conduct such a financial transaction which in fact involves the proceeds the unlawful activity; or
      2. A person who, with the intent to promote the carrying on of specified unlawful activity, or to conceal or disguise unlawful activity, or to avoid taxation or reporting requirements, conducts or attempts to conduct a financial transaction involving property represented to be the proceeds of the unlawful activity.
    10. 18. USC § 1959. Violent crimes in aid of racketeering activity

      1. A person who, as consideration for the receipt of, or as consideration for a promise or agreement to pay, anything of pecuniary value from an enterprise engaged in racketeering activity, or for the purpose of gaining entrance to or maintaining or increasing position in an enterprise engaged in racketeering activity, murders, kidnaps, maims, assaults with a dangerous weapon, commits assault resulting in serious bodily injury upon, or threatens to commit a crime of violence against any individual in violation of the laws of any State or the United States, or attempts or conspires so to do.
    11. 18. USC § 1962. Racketeering

      1. A person who has committed at least two acts of racketeering activity within a three month period, if such acts are related to an enterprise;
      2. A person who has received any income derived, directly or indirectly, from a pattern of racketeering activity or through collection of an unlawful debt;
      3. A person who acquires or maintains an interest in, or control of, an enterprise through the pattern of racketeering activity;
      4. A person who conducts or participates in the affairs of an enterprise through the pattern of racketeering activity
    12. 18. USC § 2071. Concealment, removal, or destruction of records

      1. A person who willfully and unlawfully conceals, removes, mutilates, obliterates, or destroys, or attempts to do so, or, with intent to do so takes and carries away any record, proceeding, map, book, paper, document, or other thing known to be the subject of a criminal investigation, subpoenaed as part of a criminal investigation, or filed as a record of a government institution.
    13. 18. USC § 2111. Robbery within Federal jurisidiction

      1. A person who, within Federal jurisdiction, by force and violence, or by intimidation, takes or attempts to take from another person or presence of another anything of value.
    14. 18. USC § 2113. Bank robbery

      1. A person who by force and violence, or by intimidation, takes, or attempts to take, from the person or presence of another, or obtains or attempts to obtain by extortion any property or money or any other thing of value belonging to, or in the care, custody, control, management, or possession of, any bank, credit union, or any savings and loan association.
    15. 18. USC § 2118. Robbery or burglary of controlled substance

      1. A person who takes or attempts to take from the person or presence of another by force or violence or by intimidation any material or compound containing any quantity of a controlled substance belonging to or in the care, custody, control, or possession of a person registered with the Drug Enforcement Administration.
    16. 18. USC § 2155. Sabotage

      1. A person who, with intent to injure, interfere with, or obstruct the national defense of the United States, willfully injures, destroys, contaminates or infects, or attempts to so injure, destroy, contaminate or infect any national-defense material, national-defense premises, or national-defense utilities.
    17. 18. USC § 2232. Destruction or removal of property to prevent seizure

      1. A person who knowingly destroys, damages, wastes, disposes of, transfers or otherwise takes any action for the purpose of preventing or impairing the Government’s lawful authority to take such property into its custody or control or to continue holding such property under its lawful custody and control; or
      2. A person who unlawfully gives notice or attempts to give notice of any seizure or interception by a Federal officer to any person; or
      3. A person who interferes, obstructs or attempts to interfere or obstruct with the execution of a seizure or search or other warrant by a Federal officer.
    18. 18. USC § 2234. Authority exceeded in executing warrant

      1. A person who, in executing a search warrant, willfully exceeds their authority or exercises it with unnecessary severity.
    19. 18. USC § 2235. Search warrant procured maliciously

      1. A person who maliciously and without probable cause procures a search warrant to be issued and executed.
    20. 18. USC § 2236. Searches without warrant

      1. A person who being a government employee or public official searches any private dwelling used and occupied as such dwelling without a warrant directing such search, or maliciously and without lawful cause searches any other building, person or property without a search warrant.
    21. 18. USC § 2331. Terrrorism

      1. A person who commits violent acts or acts dangerous to human life designed to intimidate or coerce the wider civilian population, to influence the policy of a government by intimidation or coercion, or to affect the conduct of a government by mass destruction, assassination, or kidnapping; or
      2. A person who attempts or conspires to commit such an act.
    22. 18. USC § 2339. Harboring or concealing terrorists

      1. A person who harbors or conceals any person who they know, or has reasonable grounds to believe, has committed, or is about to commit, an offense relating to:
        1. Destruction of aircraft or aircraft facilities, sabotage of aircraft, or aircraft piracy; or
        2. Biological weapons, chemical weapons or nuclear materials; or
        3. Arson or bombing of government or infrastructure property; or
      2. A person who harbors or conceals any person who they know, or has reasonable grounds to believe, has committed, or is about to commit, an offense that would be a crime under Section 2331 of this Title.
    23. 18. USC § 2339b. Providing material support to terrorists

      1. Whoever provides material support or resources or conceals or disguises the nature, location, source, or ownership of material support or resources, knowing or intending that they are to be used in preparation for, or in carrying out, a violation of section 2331 of this Title.
    24. 18. USC § 2381. Treason

      1. A person who, owing allegiance to the United States, levies war against them or adheres to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort within the United States or elsewhere.
    25. 18. USC § 2383. Rebellion or insurrection

      1. A person who incites, sets on foot, assists, or engages in any rebellion or insurrection against the authority of the United States or the laws thereof, or gives aid or comfort thereto.
    26. 18. USC § 2385. Advocating overthrow of Government

      1. A person who advocates, abets, advises, or teaches the duty, necessity, desirability, or propriety of overthrowing or destroying the government of the United States or the government of any State, Territory, District or Possession thereof, or the government of any political subdivision therein, by force or violence, or by the assassination of any officer of any such government.
    27. 18. USC § 2421. Human trafficking

      1. A person who knowingly transports any individual with intent that such individual engage in prostitution, or in any sexual activity for which any person can be charged with a criminal offense, or attempts to do so.
    28. 18. USC § 2511. Interception of communications

      1. A person who unlawfully intercepts, endeavors to intercept, or procures any other person to intercept or endeavor to intercept, any wire, oral, or electronic communication;
      2. A person who uses, attempts to use or discloses, or endeavors to disclose, to any other person the contents of any wire, oral, or electronic communication, knowing or having reason to know that the information was obtained through interception in violation of paragraph (1); or
      3. A person who discloses, or endeavors to disclose, to any other person the contents of any wire, oral, or electronic communication, intercepted by authorized means in connection with a criminal investigation, with intent to improperly obstruct, impede, or interfere with a duly authorized criminal investigation.
    29. 18. USC § 912. False personation of Officer or employee of the United States

      1. A person who falsely assumes, alludes or pretends to be an officer or employee acting under the authority of the United States or any department, agency or officer thereof.
    30. 18. USC § 39. Interfering with an aircraft

      1. A person who aims the beam of a laser pointer at an aircraft, or at the flight path of such an aircraft;
      2. A person who disrupts the operation of an aircraft in a manner that poses an imminent safety hazard to the occupants.
    31. 18. USC § 111. Assaulting, resisting or obstructing a Federal officer

      1. A person who forcibly assaults, resists, opposes, impedes, intimidates, or interferes with any person designated in Section 1114 of this title while engaged in or on account of the performance of official duties.
    32. 18. USC § 115. Influencing, impeding or retaliating against a Federal official

      1. A person who assaults, kidnaps, or murders, or attempts or conspires to kidnap or murder, or threatens to assault, kidnap or murder an official, or an immediate family member of an official, whose killing would be a crime under Section 1114 of this title.
    33. 18. USC § 229. Posession, use or threat of a chemical weapon

      1. A person who develops, produces, otherwise acquires, transfers directly or indirectly, receives, stockpiles, retains, owns, possesses, or uses, or threatens to use, any chemical, nuclear, biological or radiological weapon; or
      2. A person who assists or induces, in any way, any person to violate paragraph (1), or attempts or conspires to violate paragraph (1).
    34. 18. USC § 241. Conspiracy against civil rights

      1. A person who conspires to injure, oppress, threaten, or intimidate any person in the free exercise or enjoyment of any right or privilege secured to them by the Constitution or laws of the United States.
    35. 18. USC § 242. Deprivation of rights under color of office or law

      1. A person who, while acting under color of law, or on duty as a public official, willfully subjects any person to the deprivation of any rights, privileges, or immunities secured or protected by the Constitution or laws of the United States, or to different punishments, pains, or penalties, on account of such person being an alien, or by reason of their color, or race, or sex, than are prescribed for the punishment of citizens.
    36. 18. USC § 249. Hate crime acts

      1. A person who willfully causes bodily injury to any person or, through the use of fire, a firearm, a dangerous weapon, or an explosive or incendiary device, attempts to cause bodily injury to any person, because of the actual or perceived race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability or national origin of any person.
    37. 18. USC § 701. False posession or use of badges or identification cards

      1. A person who manufactures, sells, or possesses any badge, identification card, or other insignia, of the design prescribed by the head of any department or agency of the United States for use by any officer or employee thereof, or any colorable imitation thereof, or photographs, prints, or in any other manner makes or executes any engraving, photograph, print, or impression in the likeness of any such badge, identification card, or other insignia, or any colorable imitation thereof, except as authorized under regulations made pursuant to law.
    38. 18. USC § 752. Instigating or assisting escape

      1. A person who rescues or attempts to rescue or instigates, aids or assists the escape, or attempt to escape, of any person arrested or detained or imprisoned for any federal crime;
      2. A person who rescues or attempts to rescue or instigates, aids or assists the escape, or attempt to escape, of any person arrested, detained or in the lawful custody of a federal law enforcement officer.
    39. 18. USC § 755. Officer permitting, assisting or enabling escape

      1. A person who being a government employee or public official voluntarily allows a prisoner to escape.
    40. 18. USC § 792. Harboring or concealing persons

      1. A person who harbors or conceals any person who he knows, or has reasonable grounds to believe or suspect, has committed, or is about to commit, any offense against the United States.
    41. 18. USC § 842. Manufacture, use or posession of explosive materials

      1. A person who engages in the business of importing, distributing, manufacturing or dealing in explosive materials without a valid license;
      2. A person who possesses or attempts to possess explosive materials without a license;
    42. 18. USC § 872. Extortion under color of office or law

      1. A person who being a government employee or public official or representing themselves to be or assuming to act as such, under color or pretense of office or employment commits or attempts an act of extortion.
    43. 18. USC § 37. Act of violence at international airport

      1. A person who performs an act of violence against a person at an airport serving international civil aviation that causes or is likely to cause serious bodily injury;
      2. A person who destroys or seriously damages the facilities of an airport serving international civil aviation or a civil aircraft not in service located thereon or disrupts the services of the airport.
    44. 18. USC § 913. Impersonator making arrest or search

      1. A person who falsely represents himself to be an officer, agent, or employee of the United States, and in such assumed character arrests or detains any person or in any manner searches the person, buildings, or other property of any person.
    45. 18. USC § 1001. False statements to a Federal Officer

      A person who, in any matter within the jurisdiction of any federal agency of the United States:

      1. Knowingly and willfully makes any false, fictitious or fraudulent statements or representations;
      2. Falsifies, conceals, or covers up by any trick, scheme, or device a material fact;
      3. Makes or uses any false writing or document containing any materially false, fictitious, or fraudulent statement or entry.
    46. 18. USC § 1031. Major fraud against the United States

      1. A person who executes, or attempts to execute, any scheme or artifice with the intent to defraud the United States, or to obtain money or property by means of false or fraudulent pretenses, representations, or promises.
    47. 18. USC § 1038. False information and hoaxes

      1. A person who engages in any conduct with intent to convey false or misleading information under circumstances where such information may reasonably be believed and where such information indicates that an activity has taken, is taking, or will take place that would constitute a Federal crime.
    48. 18. USC § 1111. Murder

      A person who unlawfully kills another person with malice afterthought, where:

      1. The victim is an elected political representative, cabinet officer, judge or federal law enforcement officer;
      2. The victim is an immediate family member of a person in paragraph (1);
      3. The killing is designed to influence the outcome of a federal investigation;
      4. The killing is committed during a federal crime, e.g. a bank robbery;
      5. The killing is a murder-for-hire or contract killing.
    49. 18. USC § 1113. Attempt to commit murder or manslaughter

      1. A person who attempts to kill another person, where such attempted killing would be a violation of Section 1111 of this code
    50. 18. USC § 1117. Conspiracy to murder

      1. A person who plans, plots or intends to murder a person whose killing would be a crime under Section 1111 of this title.
    51. 18. USC § 1121. Killing a person aiding a Federal investigation

      A person that intentionally a kills a person who is:

      1. a State or local official, law enforcement officer, or other officer or employee while working with Federal law enforcement officials in furtherance of a Federal criminal investigation; or
      2. Any person assisting a Federal criminal investigation, while that assistance is being rendered and because of it.
    52. 18. USC § 1201. Kidnapping

      1. A person who unlawfully seizes, confines, inveigles, decoys, kidnaps, abducts, or carries away and holds for ransom or reward or otherwise any person.
    53. 18. USC § 1202. Solicitation of ransom money

      1. A person who receives, possesses, or disposes of any money or other property, or any portion thereof, which has at any time been delivered as ransom or reward in connection with a violation of Section 1201 of this Title.
    54. 18. USC § 1203. Hostage taking

      1. A person who seizes or detains and threatens to kill, to injure, or to continue to detain another person in order to compel a third person or a governmental organization to do or abstain from doing any act as an explicit or implicit condition for the release of the person detained, or attempts or conspires to do so.
    55. 18. USC § 1367. Interference with surveillance equipment

      1. A person who intentionally or maliciously interferes with the authorized operation of a communications or surveillance device or obstructs or hinders any transmission, where the surveillance device or transmission is operated or broadcast by a Federal officer in accordance with their duties.
